Shoes MX239

The MX239 mountain bike shoe is the latest version of one of our all-time favourite MTB shoes, designed for cyclists tackling remote and technical trails. This evolution of our legendary MX238 is updated with an integrated tongue in the medial panel of the upper for a firmer foot hold, ensuring that power is maximised for forward momentum through improved stability – a vital ingredient on soft and technical terrain.

The MX239 mountain bike shoe features a new internal heel counter reinforced with fiberglass, creating a more stable heel hold, and has more space between the two BOA® dials for a better fit in the forefoot area. It takes one of our favourite off-road adventure cycling shoes to a whole new level of comfort, fit, and performance, with a modern style as standard. Add to that the true rubber Mountain Competition sole, and you have a mountain bike shoe ready to take on any challenge.

FormBOA® Fit System Li2 Dials. The Li2 dial is the most advanced platform in cycling, offering precise and micro-adjustable fit in both directions and designed to withstand abrasion. No single element can be credited with the shoe's fit. The closure and comfort depend on several details, which is why here at Lake, we take the time to design shoes with what we believe are the best comfort and closure systems. The dual BOA® adjustment system is not unique to cycling, but it's how we use this dial system in conjunction with our pattern work, our world-class shoe shape, and our selection of top materials for the upper that makes this system work.

MX Competition Last - Featuring a wider toe box and a snugger heel than the Comfort Plus Last and with slightly more overall volume than the Sport Last. Exceptionally secure for intense rides/races with enough space in the toe box to avoid pinching during climbs or tricky technical sections, while the wider toe box offers your feet a more natural fit and platform.

Outsole

The MX239 is equipped with our 100% carbon fiber Lake Competition sole, along with our true rubber Mountain Competition sole, featuring extended protection for excellent ground stability. This additional outsole protection helps ensure stability on all types of surfaces, while providing the necessary performance on the pedals. The rubber extends over the front edge of the shoe, providing significant protection against wear on soft terrain.

Lining

This latest high-performance off-road shoe is available with a Clarino microfiber upper or Helcor leather with mesh and Outlast heel lining. The abrasion-resistant Helcor leather is specially designed to be extremely durable against abrasions, scrapes, and scratches. The Clarino microfiber is extremely tough and resilient against the hard wear of long rides on all types of terrain, maintaining its shape and stability while being lighter than full-grain leather and more durable at thinner gauges. This allows us to offer you a cycling shoe that remains stable in all riding conditions and stands the test of time.

With your foot wrapped in our legendary Lake comfort, the Outlast temperature-regulating heel and tongue lining provides a luxurious feel for your foot, while maintaining a breathable, durable, and secure grip.
