It's an all-new derailleur specially designed and optimized to work with a motor rather than a cable. AXS™ components make it possible to customize the system and stick as closely as possible to each rider's preferences via the AXS™ app.
Its shortened clevis offers 10 mm more between the derailleur and the ground and allows better winding of the chain on the cassette. It can then be fixed more inwards and forwards than a Eagle™ mechanical derailleur.
The Eagle AXS™ derailleur is smart enough to protect itself, thanks to its extremely resistant Overload Clutch function. In the event of an impact, the motor transmission disengages and restores the derailleur's freedom of movement before returning to position immediately without the rider noticing. The system complies with IP69K standards for water and dust tightness, allowing you to cross streams, wade through mud puddles and carry out high-pressure cleaning after every ride.
