As the name suggests, this is the Ultimate brake design for cross-country and light trail riding. Sram took the same technology used in the brake Loic Bruni used for a downhill world championship and packaged it into a smaller, sleeker, lighter package optimized for cross-country riding. The carbon fiber level blade pulls crisp and clean thanks to the pivoting bearings and DirectLink design. And it maintains that feel throughout the ride because it's matched to the two-piston monoblock caliper. This caliper's superior heat management and smooth piston actuation give you braking power exactly when and how you need it.
