How does SpeedBox 1.5 for Bosch work?
To properly activate all the features of SpeedBox, it is necessary, after turning on the electric bike with the installed SpeedBox, to enter the menu and access the wheel circumference value if your electric bike has older firmware.

The activation/deactivation of the adjustment must always be done before getting on the bike, not during the ride!

To activate the chip SpeedBox 1.5, briefly activate the WALK function on the electric bike controller (hold down the "-" button). The electric bike screen will briefly display 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph) and from that moment, you can ride at a speed of 35 km/h. You can change the default speed limit to any limit (up to 99 km/h), but to minimize the risk of error codes, we recommend not exceeding 35 km/h.

To disable the chip function, reactivate the WALK function (hold down the "-" button). The display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the speed limit of 25 km/h will be reactivated. The electric bike will work the same way as before the chip was installed.

We have also considered electric bikes that do not have a WALK function available or active. In this case, you can activate or deactivate the adjustment by toggling twice between two modes, that is, by pressing the buttons "- + - +".

The maximum assist speed can again be changed by cycling through the modes, going down three levels from the TURBO mode and then up three levels: eMTB - TOUR+ - ECO - TOUR+ - eMTB - TURBO. Then, the current speed limit will be displayed. To change the maximum speed, briefly press the WALK function or turn the wheel 360°. The screen 2.5 km/h corresponds to the limit of 25 km/h, 2.5 corresponds to 25 km/h, 3.5 corresponds to 35 km/h, etc. The last displayed limit is saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.

When using the SpeedBox, the electric bike must be turned on after the ride until the screen shows a constant 0.0 km/h. During this phase, the screen will display the remaining time. Then, the bike can be safely turned off and you can look forward to the next ride.

Installation
To connect the SpeedBox chip to an electric bike, we use colour-coded connectors equipped with a key for proper connection, making the chip really easy to install. If you want SpeedBox on a new bike, you must first ride at least 10 km with the bike.

Important
Connect the male - female connectors in the direction of the lock. Do not twist the connectors when connecting!
