Description
We produce a range of angular contact cartridge bearings (A/C) specifically designed for hubs. In standard radial bearings, only 3 or 4 balls make contact during loading at any given time. In angular contact (A/C) bearings, ALL balls are engaged and distribute the force over a larger area to reduce friction and minimize wear. Wheel clearance can be adjusted out of the hub, resulting in a more stable wheel, making it easier to adjust disc brakes, while still turning freely. Stainless steel has a 20% lower load capacity than the chrome 52100 steel used in most of our bearings, but with much higher corrosion resistance.
