The new Unites SRAM direct mount oval chainring shares all the features of the standard chainring, but with an oval profile. Our oval design has many advantages over our standard round rings: Improves traction when climbing. Reduces knee pain. 12% ovalization (32T oval is equal to 30T-34T range). 115° Clocking from the crank arm puts the major axis in your power stroke. Unite chainrings are CNC machined in-house from 7075 T6 aluminum billets, one of the hardest grades of aluminum available. Add to that a high quality vibratory anodized finish and you have a winning combination to make your bike stand out from the crowd.A large amount of wear occurs on the front of the chain rings due to the extreme chain line caused by the 1x settings, our extra wide alternate tooth profile improves both durability and retention for a longer period of time. When chains start to stretch, they start to jam in certain areas, which damages the chain and the ring. Our chainrings have specially machined recesses, which prevent this damage and increase the longevity of the chain and chainring. Check your chain for wear, a worn chain will increase chain drop and wear out your transmission faster. Check the length of your chain, if it is too loose you will lose retention, if it is too tight the chain will break. We always recommend using a SRAM Powerlock chain.
