Many triathletes have discovered the potential of our Speedwear Concept and use it in triathlon races, even though this capsule collection is originally designed for road racing and time trials.
That's why we created the Speedwear Concept Tri suit. A transposition of all the aerodynamic qualities of Speedwear Concept to the needs of triathletes.
The main part of the suit is made of Speedsilk. The Speedsilk fabric has been heat-pressed so that the surface becomes very smooth and silk-like, hence the name. This textile technology improves the aerodynamics of ordinary Lycra. Speedsilk reduces drag and is used on the front torso, side panels and legs.
Airstripe is a form of Lycra with a woven stripe on the surface. This fabric creates a golf ball effect. Where this fabric is used, the air can stay attached to the surface much longer and creates a tighter low pressure wake and less pressure drag. We use this fabric on the sleeves and back of the torso.
The integrated Tri pad provides support during the bike phase, yet is soft enough that you won't notice it during the swim or run.
The lower legs are finished with a wide Powerband elastic band to keep everything in place.
