Description
Q-Rings minimize the time spent in neutral while pedaling. Q-Rings reduce the detrimental effect of neutral due to their oval shape. The sprocket is at its lowest point when neutral is reached, which means that it can be shifted less forcefully, more quickly and more smoothly.
As soon as the pedal passes neutral, the height of the Q-Ring increases, and thus presents the greatest leverage at the moment when your muscles can deliver their maximum power. Oval chainrings tried to make their way in a few years ago, and were widely criticized, but don't be fooled: the Rotor concept is the exact opposite of its ovoid ancestors.
Indeed, while the old ovoid chainrings offered the maximum leverage at neutral (this concept was supposed to offer a greater regularity of pedaling but only increased the stress on the muscles), the Q-Rings crowns are "intelligent" and muscularly ergonomic: they respect the variations of the body's power, the more power you can deliver, the more the Q-Rings allow you to. The results have already convinced many riders: more natural pedaling, less fatigue at the end of the race, less muscle trauma, it's up to you to try...
