Bike handles Bike Yoke Grippy

Well, we tried to create a handle with a lot of the features we'd hoped to take away with some of the things we didn't particularly like about some of the handles out there.

Honeycomb design

On some of your favorite grips, you may notice that within a few outings, you can see small parts of the rubber already twisted/snapped or sheared off. Some grips offer excellent cushioning, but the rubber may be too soft/spongy/sticky to withstand rough use over a longer period. For our Grippy, we opted for a structure surface reminiscent of a honeycomb and combined it with a material that offers very good feel and grip, but it's stiff and solid enough that you can't twist the rubber, which helps keep wear and tear to a minimum.

Cut-outs inside the sleeves

For even more cushioning on the outer palm area, we've designed cut-outs in the inner support sleeve at nylon, creating space for more rubber material all the way to the handlebar for more cushioning and support of the critical outer palm area.

Eccentric/offset design

The Grippy, while circular in diameter, is offset from the central axis. Thinner grips generally enable firmer/better mechanical grip, thicker grips can give more cushioning and comfort. With the offset design, we've created more cushioning where you need it - on the rear-facing side (palm side) of the handle towards the driver's side - without increasing the overall diameter of the handle.

Integrated tip

One thing we've found particularly annoying is that the outer ends of some handles tear too easily due to little or no protection from poorly designed end caps. Scraping a tree, getting off, these things happen and you don't want the handle to tear too easily, do you? So, the integrated black tip has mainly two functions: a) the slightly tapered shape gives you excellent tactile feedback to feel where the handle ends and b) it offers solid impact protection.
