In 1997, the Marzocchi Bomber Z1 burst onto the scene and turned all contemporary trends on their head.
The Z1 brought oil, coils and massive uprights - it prioritized grip and ride quality over almost everything else. The Z1's return takes those same priorities into a 36mm frame with a super soft air spring and a proven FIT GRIP shock.
GRIP shock absorber:
- Inspired by motorcycle fork damping systems, the award-winning GRIP shock uses our sealed cartridge technology combined with an internal floating coil spring piston. The system allows excess oil to bleed through a specially designed port at the top of the shock to maintain consistent damping and increase durability. The GRIP offers both open and firm modes with additional sweep adjustment between settings.
Float Evol:
- A more linear spring curve gives the FLOAT EVOL forks and shocks smoothness at the top, extra support at mid-stroke and easier progress at the bottom. The FLOAT EVOL air spring system features positive and negative air springs that automatically equalize during use to give each rider the right pressure balance. The progressiveness of the spring curve can be adjusted with air volume spacers, allowing riders to fine tune the feel of the air spring.
