Chainring Easton direct mount 40T
The Direct Mount Easton chainring uses a new Narrow Wide profile specially developed for Cyclo Cross and Gravel.
This new profile, taken from the traditional shape, has been designed to create a better engagement of the chain as well as an optimal support to prevent any chain jump, even on the most broken grounds. This new profile is combined with higher teeth, slightly refined to reduce noise and friction when crossing extreme chains on the cassette. The base of the teeth has been slightly widened to allow better evacuation of the mud to ensure a perfect maintenance of the chain in the worst conditions that can exist in Cyclo Cross.
The asymmetrical 4-spoke construction of the chainring offers a better pedaling stiffness as well as an interesting weight reduction thanks to their thinness. The Easton Direct Mount chainring uses the Cinch attachment system and a 47mm chain line, perfect for frames using 135 and 142mm axle hubs, which are now found on road and Cyclocross bikes using disc brakes.
