How does it work?

Q-Rings reduce the detrimental effect of neutral due to their oval shape. The sprocket is at its lowest point when neutral is reached, allowing for less forceful, faster, smoother shifting. As soon as the pedal passes neutral, the height of the Q-Ring increases, and thus presents the greatest leverage at the moment when your muscles can deliver their maximum power.
